You Are The One

I always knew there was one to find; 
one soul that searched for mine, 
though never in my wildest dreams 
did I ever think we would meet. 
And then... you were just there, 
and I knew I had found my missing piece. 

I did not choose you 
but I knew you were the one. 
From the moment we first spoke, 
I never had a choice. 
You have always been the one, 
since the day that I was born. 

It has been a long journey; 
quite a chore, just to find you, 
and now I feel inadequate 
when I try to find the words 
to tell you what you mean to me 

But they are only words my Dear; 
they give only a glimpse at how I feel. 
The real meaning is in my heart. 
Mere words can never do justice 
to how I feel about you in my heart.
