Wrapped In Your Love
I look around me, but you’re not there
and yet you’re with me everywhere.
You’re in the warmth of the sun above
shining through to touch my soul;
you’re in the kisses of the gentle rain
as it tenderly falls upon my lips,
and there you are in a whispered sigh,
in the breeze that softly tousles my hair.
The touch of you is everywhere.
To my searching eyes you are not here,
yet within my dreams I hold you near.
You’re in the stars that dust the sky
though far, the sight bestills my heart.
Although you’re not within my grasp,
you lay with me in the silent dark.
Your lips entice, your fingers trace.
I feel your presence with me Dear,
when I close my eyes and draw you near.
Even if my eyes can’t find you there
my heart can see you everywhere;
though I can’t feel your touch from here
your love wraps me close and holds me near.
