Christmas Wish List

Outside the world is wrapped
In white velvet and lace;
Snowflakes waltz to the distant singing
Of carols drifting peaceful on the air.

Inside the tree is dressed in red
And white and gold;
Family and friends gather ‘round
Sharing gifts and smiles,

But my wish list isn’t long
It only holds one thing,
Not just for Christmas, but forever.
I wonder how you’ll gift wrap
You.
