Upon The Wind
You rode in like a whisper
on the warm summer wind,
and the music of my heartbeat
echoed in my ears
like a million churchbells
pealing through the hills.
Your touch made me tremble
like leaves upon the silver birch
and like a tiny humming bird
can reach the deepest nectar in the flower
You reached, with eyes of softest blue
into the very corners of my heart.
Your hands held the missing pieces
that melted two souls into one
secured with the most precious memories
so as a shadow fades away in light of day
to lengthen once again approaching dusk
you are never far away upon the breeze.
