What Is Love 
(The Unanswered Question)

Love is more than just a word 
to be found in some big books; 
and it’s more than just a feeling 
brought about by someone’s looks. 
It’s a deep devotion; 
warm attachment; 
strong affection; 
or so Mr. Webster says, 
but that won’t even scratch the surface 
of what love is in my books! 

Love is knowing you are with me 
when you’re nowhere in sight; 
and it’s the feeling that giving 
more than wanting is what’s right. 
It’s the selfless caring 
of hearts entwining 
and souls combining, 
impossible to explain, 
but with that I've only just begun 
to define what love is right.
