Still
Looking back,
so many words have gone between us
we’ve grown, we’ve learned
we’ve emerged,
but in many ways
not a thing has changed ...
You’re still the branch that shelters me
when winds blow harsh and cold
you still hold the torch to light my way
through the darkest day,
and you still show me there’s brighter skies
behind the dark storm clouds
I still think of you
when the rain falls from the sky,
when the lightening flashes
and the thunder claps,
and the dark clouds roll by;
When a calm falls on the water
with the cry of the loon,
and the rustle of the leaves,
and the colours of the sun as it sets
you still fill my thoughts.
And no matter how much time goes by
the greatest things
we've ever said to each other
are still the things
we've never spoken.
I said it then,
I’ll say it time and time again
because, Darling, it’s still true
I have no friend as dear as you
And when it comes to Loving you
I still don’t pick and choose,
you are who you are
and that’s still fine with me
because —
I still Love all of you.
I don't just love you when you smile,
or when you're dressed in your best clothes.
I don't just love you when the sun is shining,
but also when the wind blows bitter cold.
I don't just love you when your life is good
I love you even when you're down.
I don't just love the way you look
I also love the "you" inside,
I Love All of
You.
