Silken Threads
Awake the dormant flood
that brews within my veins
beneath the surface
of a yearning so intense
it radiates
with prismatic colours
that drip
upon the velvet night,
beseeching lovers
to frolic in Elysian fields,
between the stars
and the moon.
Unveil my heart
in full and supple bloom,
its metamorphosis complete,
as it emerges from the darkness
in a flash of light,
celebrating its rebirth
within the music
of Sonatinas played
on Love’s tender strings,
sublime.
And covet me —
wish me real,
beneath the gentle brushing
of your lips;
drink the dew drops
from my thighs,
and hear my cry
upon the wind,
as it ignites a brand new star
to shine with all its splendour
upon the silken threads
between your heart
and mine.
