One More Kiss
Miles melted away like butter
in the mid day heat;
smiles burn brighter
than the sun
and her heart simply glows.
I didn’t remember you kissing me good bye
Fingers link together
like souls entwined;
silence speaks volumes
in their eyes
and she feels his heart beating
I came back for one more kiss before I leave
He scoops her sorrow in his hand
and slips it into his pocket,
if only for this brief moment
eases her sadness
simply with his presence
One more kiss before I leave
He draws her close
into this place where Love shines
and contentment reigns,
in his arms,
and she knows peace
One more kiss
Time stretches out before them
but in this unexpected moment
she memorizes his face
with her fingers
and basks in his Love
And she give him one more kiss
One more...
Just one more...
One more kiss before he leaves.
