Your Oasis

Nights are long
This journey痴 even longer
There痴 mile after mile left to go,
I find myself in the lonely hours
Unable to sleep, so far from home,
Here in the dark with your words
Still on my mind

I値l be your oasis
When the desert overwhelms
I値l be your shelter in the storm;
I値l be your shining star
That keeps you pointed toward home
And I値l be a thousand things more

Highways stretch out before me
Like ribbons in the dark
And there never seems to be any end
No matter which way I travel
It all leads me away
From that place my heart knows as home
And still I can hear you say

I値l be your oasis
When the desert overwhelms
I値l be your shelter in the storm;
I値l be the raft that keeps you afloat
When the river gets rough
And I値l be a thousand things more

Day after day
When there痴 no place left to turn
And it痴 getting harder to carry this load;
When the bridges have all fallen
And there痴 no way around
There seems like only delays
But still, my heart hears you say

I値l be your oasis
When the desert overwhelms
I値l be your shelter in the storm;
I値l be the sun
When the grey clouds roll in
And I値l be a thousand things more

I値l be your oasis,
I値l be your shelter in the storm;
And I wish I could be so much more ...
