My Dreams

In my dreams we walk together
beneath the leafy boughs.
We laugh and talk and smile together
walking hand in hand,
through autumn's gold
or summer’s green
as the seasons unfold.

In my dreams we find a place
where calm cool waters flow.
Just you and I in a peaceful place,
we hold each other close.
As waters slowly
trickle past
you kiss me tenderly.

In my dreams I see your face
and look into your eyes
locked inside a warm embrace
where time stands still.
Silently these dreams I hold
deep inside my heart
for in my dreams
we never part.
