Letter To My Love

Dear Darlin’,

I’m writing to you today to let you know 
how very special you are to me. 
I know you know it, but sometimes 
I feel the need to tell you so. 
You are the light that shines on my path 
so that no matter what I have to face, 
I know I will not face it alone. 
Even though you are not here with me, 
I know I carry your love and support in my heart.  

Darlin, you are the wind that billows my sails 
and keeps me going when the seas seem stagnant. 
I know that if ever I feel overburdened and incapable, 
you will lift me up and I will be able to walk on. 
You are the air that I breathe, that has filled the void inside me, 
Though it seemed to take eternity to find you, 
and the distance still keeps me from your arms,
I do not remember my heart without you. 
I cannot imagine my life without you in it.
