In Harmony

   The stars whispered your name last night;
   I felt it on the evening breeze.
   This morning, snowflakes drifting in the air
   carried tender kisses from your lips
   to gently rest upon my face.

   Later, I closed my eyes 
   and listened to the stillness all around. 
   I heard the sound of two hearts beating;
   one was yours and one was mine,
   and together they played a soothing tune. 

   And tomorrow, when I waken, 
   as the sun still rests its head on the horizon
   I’ll feel your gentle touch upon my hair
   and once again, I’ll know
   that your heart is in harmony with mine —

   Every beat, every hour, every day.
