Chapter Ten
Pages sift before me
full of memories written in verse
and songs sung from deep
within hearts and souls
to the melody of the sunset,
the moon,
and the ocean tides,
whispering in a hush of waves
crashing through my veins.
Pages stained
with the tears of parting
and inked with the sighs of reunion
in the gentle hues of distant stars
whose nectar drips like honey
into the eyes of Lovers,
Page upon page
lithographed in Braille
to satisfy my need to touch,
to read Love
with the tips of my fingers
in the quietude of night
where kisses trickle from my lips
like a heady murmur
of words.
And pages spread around me
yet unwritten
in the mist between
yesterday and forever
as you lay my pen in my hand
and prepare to write
the next chapter
