You unlocked the door 
to a place I'd never been before; 
I took your hand 
and we walked freely through it 

You helped me view 
a world I'd never seen before, 
Wrapped in your arms, 
you gently took me to it. 

I could not see 
the forest for the trees before. 
I sang the songs 
but never heard the music. 

My sky was grey, 
the sun could not be seen before. 
You parted the cloud 
and let the light shine through it. 

I never knew 
what love I had in me before, 
but now I know, 
there's no way to refute it!
