Our Anthology

I shall wrap my kisses 
in moonbeams
and set them floating in the night
on a wisp of my breath
watching them with a smile
as they travel the arc across the sky
to softly brush their poetry
against your cheek

My Love will always be written
in metaphor and verse
along the inside of my arm
following the beat of my heart
to the tips of my fingers
that I may press them against your lips
to mingle your prose with mine
and each word will taste like heaven
as you read them on my skin

I shall take your hand
and bring you with me 
between the lines
to show you places I have never been,
hidden beneath the surface in plain sight,
that we may explore them 
together
and we shall create our anthology —
a shared work 
written with two hands and 
one pen.
