Twilight Zone Blue skies taunt me from all sides, a dome overhead that threatens to enclose me in a bubble, inescapable and untouchable. Clouds drift by, waving, jeering down at me with their can’t catch me grins If I close one eye and reach up, I feel like I might just wrap my fingers in all their glory — if I close the other they simply disappear My mind is a whirlwind spinning out of control and I feel the ache in my loins like the ebb and flow of the tides pulled by the moon as I sit here praying for blood to wash me clean before the wind carries me into the twilight zone may 2011 Janet Reid
