Spring

Through ground still blanketed with snow
a tiny crocus pokes her head,
reaching upward, with face aglow
awakened from her winter bed.

With promise of new life ahead
spring dips its brush in vibrant hues,
nature’s beauty begins to spread
to paint a most breathtaking view.
