The Flamboyant Sister

  She, the flamboyant sister,
  with hair like blazing fire,
  dresses in ever changing robes
  of red and yellow and orange;

  Dances to Beethoven
  played upon the wind,
  as jewels of topaz and gold,
  she scatters playfully at her feet;

  Floating fluidly to a graceful waltz,
  yet keeping pace with ease
  when the music makes its sudden change
  to a powerful dizzying crescendo.

  She dances onward
  with arms lifted to the sky
  and face tipped to the breeze,
  spreading splendour in her path,

  Until at last, her vibrant energy spent,
  she dons her cloak of brown,
  bows her head and lays herself to rest,
  to wait until the dance begins again.
