The Lazy Days of SummerLazily she lays across her cushion of flowers spread on vibrant green her toes dangling playfully in clear calm waters of a nearby lake. Her dress flows across the grass and on her head she wears a leafy bonnet. Furry creatures are her friends, and scamper ‘cross her lap and ‘round her feet, She gazes at the clouds as they drift effortlessly above and smiles at the sparrows that twitter in the trees. Thus, for a time, she passes her days, awash in the aroma of the season; toying with her fingers in the breeze and letting gentle rain fall on her face. Yet her love and her companionship offers hope to those she favours and the bounty of many is accredited to her kindness. Then with one last warming smile and with her kiss upon the wind she spreads her graceful wings, and follows her beloved birds. For the days of her relaxation are numbered and as she bids her last farewell, she gathers to her breast her favourite flowers to keep as memories until she next returns. april 2002Included in The Meeting Of The Minds Journal Volume 1, Issue 4 August 2002Included in
