Lady Lightning
To the droning of the distant drums
she dances in the dark
twirling like a graceful ballerina.
She does a mean flamenco too,
and wildly twists and twirls
like a belly dancer with her veils.
She tosses back her flowing hair
in a flash of subtle light
as sparks go flying from her fingertips
dramatically she waves her hands,
and all the sky is lit
for her — the lady of the light.
