The Name Says it All

Some peoples’ walks on earth
have made impressions
on minds and hearts and souls
where they have gone.

For one, Mother Theresa,
there's no question who you mean,
and Ghandi, say the name
no other man would come to mind.

Some names roll off the tongue
quite second nature,
we all know who is meant
without a word of doubt.

Like Elvis— no last name is needed;
Hitchcock, Bogart and Sinatra
without their first names said,
we know them still.

A face, a voice, a colour, we know it;
only one person fits the bill.
Think of that candelabra,
it's Liberace in your mind,

John Lennon, and Sir Paul,
you know the one —— McCartney,
best known perhaps among
the Beetles four.

And some among you even may recall
a guy named Wolfman Jack!
But the man in black is simply
——Johnny Cash.
