
How Quick They Grow
Nursery rhymes softly hummed at night; teddy bears; lace bonnets; snuggling up in Mother’s arms. New bundle of joy Finger paints of stick men and dogs; ice cream smiles and mud pies; squirming away from Mom’s hand. Toddler on the go. Hide and seek swimming in the creek climbing trees; skinning knees; baseball bats or ballet shoes. Big kids now! Broken hearts shared with her their friends; cheerleaders; football stars; finding a date for the prom. Too soon gone! Wedding dress; trailing rose bouquet; man and wife from this day; loving looks from bride and groom. New life now.
