The Genie, Morgana

I’m Morgana of the Genies,
I can grant you wishes — three,
with the powers I’ve been given
so just tell your wants to me,

But there’s just a few restrictions,
that I should tell you first,
about the kinds of wishes
I am able to disburse

First, is the little matter
of money — you should know
I’m not authorized to handle
large amounts of ‘dough’.

And I can’t do fancy clothing
or jewels of any kind;
no furs, or precious metals,
if you are so inclined,

Also, mansions filled with servants
are out of my control,
the contract from my union
hasn’t given me that role,

Neither can I conjure up
an expensive car for you
I haven’t got the clearance
so there’s nothing I can do.

Next, I must make mention
of love — you see, that is
not in my scope of practice
Cupid claims it as his,

And please don’t wish for anything
that involves a world of peace,
that one’s a secret guarded
by the Genie police!

So now that I’ve explained things,
about the powers given me,
please tell me your desires,
and let me grant your wishes, three,
