From Nature, Can We Learn?
(Shadorma form)

So tiny.
So pure and trusting.
A ball of
eiderdown
with dark, penetrating eyes
full of innocence.

As fragile
as the broken shells
cast aside
at your birth,
yet you must meet the world with
the strength to survive.

Before long
you will leave your nest,
stretch your wings
with the wind
and soar with hawks and crows in
nature’s harmony.

Our children,
can we learn from this
not to hold
you too tight,
but to love you enough to
let us let you go?
