"Dreamers can find their way by moonlight and their only punishment is
Dreamers
that they see the dawn before the rest of the world."
~ Oscar Wilde ~
A trickle of moonlight drifts past the stars
and paints the very tops of the trees.
It dances through the branches,
and glides across the silent water below.
The darkness takes on a velvet touch
and beckons to those who would see
with eyes closed, and hearts open,
letting their dreams quench their thirst.
When the night reclines into the horizon
and dawn begins to slide across the sky,
they will be awakened with a sigh
in the chill that comes with daybreak
But dreamers know that if they follow their hearts,
they will find their way back again.
