but there's too many miles between us
as the shades of night grow deep,
show me a way to get through  
this lonely night.

Where can you take me 
that I could be with you tonight,
to have you in all my dreams;
and you could hold me tight
until the morning light?

I would do anything 
just to reach out and touch you
if I could only have you near
when the day is done

just to hold the hands I love
beneath the halo'd moon
